monday.com Limitations

As monday.com and we know, the platform does have some limitations. This will impair the CarbonCRM system as we use connected items for the companies, contacts, and sales process. Due to this, there are some CRM limitations regarding the number of items within a board.


Here are some articles breaking down specific monday.com limitations you may want to be aware of.

Sales Process Boards

Description:

These boards flow into each other, meaning the limits should almost never get hit as data does not remain stagnant and continues through the process.

Limits:

Cold Prospecting – 20k leads

Warm Leads – Est. 10k leads (Varies based on previous business done (assumes 25%))

Warm Deals – Est. 5k Deals

Resolution:

We suggest creating multiple sales pipelines if you’re approaching or expect to hit these limits. For example, you could segment these by industry, sales rep, or any other identifier that makes sense for your business.

CRM Boards

Description:

These boards do not flow and are stagnant. The limits can be hit here when you have a significant amount of leads building up.

Limits:

Contacts – 10k contacts
Companies – approx. 3k companies (Depends on number of contacts/company and deals/company)

Resolution:

Hitting CRM limitations inside the CRM Boards can become slightly more complicated than the Sales process boards. Here, we suggest you split the contacts and companies into segments. This could be based on industry, location, or any other identifier that would be effective and relevant to your business.

All limits we’ve outlined are based on the core monday.com Work OS. Using any of the other monday products may place additional limitations on the CRM.

Check automation/integration limits

The CarbonCRM contains 40 pre-constructed automation, making it the most automated solution on the platform. With this automation, it is important to reference your plan on monday.com and ensure you have enough automation and integration actions to accommodate the volume you plan to run through your system.

It is not possible to estimate how many actions are used to reach a ‘Won Deal’ as this entirely depends on your follow-up cadence and frequency of outreach.

With this being said, 90% of our userbase is able to succeed on a pro-plan without issue. You may consider upgrading to an enterprise account for higher volumes, unlocking 250,000 monthly actions for both integrations and automation.

To check your monthly actions; on any board:
> Click “Automations” or “Integrations”
> Click the “Account Usage” tab.
