Description
The Breakdowns board is where individual tasks will be stored and linked for each project. You can have multiple tasks per project. These tasks can be set up as dependent on one another. Additionally, you can attach items from the Task board for better organization and record-keeping.
How to use
Board Views
Total Breakdown
The default view set in this board is the “Total Breakdown” view. This view is filtered to give you all the necessary information without having to scroll through all the columns.
Main Table
The second view is the “Main Table” view, this is where you will see everything that is inside the board.
Breakdown Timeline
The third and final view you will see is the “Breakdown Timeline” view. This view gives you and your team the ability to visualize the projects and tasks associated with them in a timeline view.
Board Columns
Item
Items in this board are intended to be steps, processes, or phases regarding a single project.
Project Manager
Assign one or multiple people to the item.
Note: Setting the status to “Completed” for one person is “Completed” for all.
Status
This is the engine of the board; changing the status moves the items to corresponding groups.
Timeline
Gives you and your team a visual representation of how long you have to work on a project.
Projects
Connected column linking the project from the Projects board.
Dependent On
This column shows items that are dependent on one another to help manage projects more efficiently.
Project Files
All your files, docs, and uploads from items linked in the Tasks board.
Team To-Do’s [To-Do Suite]
Connected column displaying the tasks that are linked to the project.
Automations
This automation is set up so that it will ensure that the date of an item will be set correctly depending on the timeline of the other tasks. Using dependents can be very helpful when you have multiple steps to a project. This ensures that you and your team will stay on track working on projects and eliminates the chance of skipping over a step or task.
